The Conseil jeunesse de Montréal is made up of 15 members, representative of the geographic, linguistic, cultural and social diversity of Montreal’s youth, and fair representation is ensured between men and women.

Its members are selected and appointed by the City Council to advise the Mayor and the Executive Committee in a regular and ongoing manner on all issues relating to youths and to ensure that youth concerns are taken into consideration in the decisions made by Municipal Administration.

The Conseil jeunesse de Montréal is taking persistent action to connect with young people, seek their views on issues that matter to them, ensure representation to elected officials, and submit to them various recommendations to improve living conditions and citizenship initiatives taken by Montréal’s youths.
